No New Posts Nessundo City Gym

The canal of Nessundo Bluff pours directly behind the small, one-room Nessundo City Gym, and the entire open-air back of the Gym -- where battles take place -- is punctuated by the constant roar of the waterfall and has been likened to an enormous, meditative garden. A thin layer of mist settles around the pond, and the series of rocks and stony spires protruding from the water almost seem to beg for the daring to try and make their way across the pond without falling in. Swaying plains grass covers wherever water does not and grows especially thickly around the mesa's wall and the stone walls of the Gym themselves. All it takes is for a challenge to be issued to the Gym Leader, and the serene tranquility of the garden gives way to a thunderous Pokémon battle.

No New Posts Gaur Pokémon Tutelage

Gaur Pokémon Tutelage is a wide, large fieldhouse full of obstacle courses -- some more ad hoc than others, improvised with crates and old furniture as opposed to proper equipment. At the center, a wise Slowking named Gaur directs Pokémon through exercises and training regimens dedicated to unlocking their potential. Though Gaur says nothing aloud, the use of telepathy is apparent where Pokémon will abruptly stop or alter what they're doing to follow the Slowking's calm suggestions. Although the front desk is run by people, all who frequent or work for Gaur Pokémon Tutelage know that it is the Slowking who is the true keystone of the business.

No New Posts Gatto's Library

Gatto's Library is currently closed for renovations -- a regular, almost yearly occurrence due to a repeat arsonist that has yet to be caught. Guards in uniform and trained Water-type Pokémon patrol the perimeter of the reconstruction, wary of another attack on the library. They leer suspiciously at anyone who gets too close and asks too many questions, especially if they have a Fire-type Pokémon with them.

No New Posts Lualdi News Network Broadcast Building

The towering Lualdi News Network headquarters rises above most of the lower-built buildings of Nessundo City, drawing ire from locals about how "artificial" the building looks. It looks more as though it were transplanted from another city as opposed to anything native to Nessundo -- pristine, uniformly-spaced windows, automatic doors framed by well-kept flower gardens, satellite dishes in untarnished condition, and straight, evenly-built walls. A sign out front welcomes visitors, especially those who think they have a promising story for the Lualdi News Network. The sign is often vandalized in the night and cannot always be replaced or cleaned off fast enough. Consequently, it may instead read as something to the tune of, "Should you have a scoop that we haven't heard of before, please shove it up your ass and go back to Spegna City."

Board Description
Nessundo City
Nessundo City's name is thought to originate from the phrase "nessu nodo," literally meaning "no one owns this place" -- a land of freedom where anyone could pursue whatever future they sought so long as they lived. To this day, Nessundo City's buildings have a decidedly rugged look to them, and even the newly-built ones look like they were put together with limited supplies and means; some inhabitants will even take pride in the "built it myself" look of their homes, though certain districts of the city look less ramshackle than others. Nessundo City was originally several cities all built around and atop several adjacent mesas, but they are all now connected by large suspension bridges to the central Nessundo Bluff and are considered districts of one city. Despite this unity, there is still a rough segregation based on career type -- academics congregate on the Long West Bluff, Pokémon battle experts stick to the central Nessundo Bluff, factories and offices occupy the Jagged Point Bluff in the north, and so on. As a sign of unity and cooperation, each mesa has a central fountain with canals running throughout their section of the city. Eventually, the canals tumble over the cliff side in the form of a waterfall and unite in an enormous moat around Nessundo City's perimeter. Should a section of the city seek to secede from Nessundo City, they only need to cut off the water supply.
