Nameless stares out over the shifting expanse of Time's Scar from her 'perch', idly twirling her stolen, bloodied knife. She'd barely managed to escape from the more civilized portions of Rennerland, though she hates to use that word. They were more savage than the beasts they claim to control. At least a beast can be trained. She spares a glance to Eyes, her only real companion. Said eyes are closed, of course, but she can tell that he's just as tense and alert as she was. The ghost understood her far better than the horrid nobles ever had. To say nothing of the spineless peasants that would do nothing to take advantage of the opportunity she had forcefully created.
Her master was dead, after all. And someone would have to take his place.
Not that she cared. She was out. That was all she needed. Freedom. They were searching for her. They had to be. No one assassinates a noble and gets away with it. She was going to die. She can't keep running forever.
So if she's going to die, she's going to die on her own terms.
Making a quick sign to her ghostly companion to follow her, she hops down from her elevated position at the edge of the Scar. If anyone had ever gone inside and survived, she'd never heard of it. A fitting enough place.
Her boots hit the ground with a wet thud, and she rises to her feet, setting off towards the center of the Scar. If she can get as far inside as she can manage, maybe... all of this will be over. She passes several piles of strange-looking metal, trying not to give it too much thought.. until she sees a piece of scrap with some sort of writing on it. Crouching down, she presses a hand to it, trying to wipe it off in an attempt to make the writing more legible...
And the world shifts around her.
She's no longer in Rennerland, that much is certain. She's suddenly freezing. The world around her is covered in snow and ice, and she hunches down in a vain attempt for warmth as she frantically looks around. The flooded plains have given way to a wasteland of ice, the chunk of metal replaced with an enormous, imposing stone tower. Powerful winds and chunks of ice throw themselves at her as she curls up into a ball and attempts to guard her head with her arms. Eyes isn't with her. Why isn't he with her?! He could--
Everything changes again. Suddenly, she's hurtling forward at a frightening speed. She hits the ground with a horrible crack and cries out in pain. She doesn't know where she is anymore. She doesn't care. This is where the nameless girl dies, she's certain. But... nothing changes. The world stays the same, despite all odds. The biting pain in her body also stays the same, but at least that's less surprising. She groans, rolling over onto her front. She coughs, letting out no small amount of blood from her mouth as she uneasily tries to pull herself onto her knees. No use. She falls back down, her arms unable to support her weight. Her knife disappeared somehow. She doesn't even question it. She's really stuck here, then, with her final fallback solution missing. She just hopes Eyes made it out okay...
On the outskirts of Time's Scar, the nameless girl closes her eyes and waits for her injuries or dehydration to take her first. It doesn't matter which.
